
Getting a high quality website design is essential, but it is only one half of the successful website equation. The other half of the equation concerns ongoing maintenance and updates. At Doxa Creative, we handle website maintenance in one of two ways:
Either we will design a content management system, so that you can handle all of your own updates; or we will sign you up with an annual maintenance package, and we will handle all of the updates for you.
There are strengths and weaknesses to both options. If you are a self-starter and you want daily control over your site, you may want a content management system. If you would rather just send an email with new content and have it magically appear on your site, you are more than likely a candidate for one of our maintenance packages.
The two options differ quite a bit in terms of cost as well. Creating a content management system for your site will will add around $1,000 to the up front design cost for your site, but you will not incur any ongoing monthly costs.
So, here is a brief description of each of our maintenance packages:
The Silver Package gives you domain name purchase, website hosting, 5 email addresses, and one update each month for $75/month.
The Gold Package gives you domain name purchase, website hosting, 10 email addresses, and 2 updates each month for $125/month.
The Platinum Package gives you domain name purchase, website hosting, 20 email addresses, and 4 updates each month for $175/month.
Updates include text and image exchanges, but do not include any substantial redesign of the website. Any additional design work will be subject to a new design contract.
Maintenance packages must be prepaid, and payments may be remitted quarterly by check or monthly by automatic credit card withdrawal on the 1st of month for each month of the contract.
